Intimacy

So, what does intimacy with the Lord feel like? The same exact way it feels to spend quality time with a loved one. Like He said to me once, sometimes words are not needed. Sometimes songs are not needed either. It is just a matter of finding that quiet place in silence. No need to bring requests, no need to say much. Just feel His presence. There are times you sense He is kissing all over your face. Sometimes you may sense He is holding your hands quietly. Sometimes it may feel like He is smiling over you. Sometimes He even giggles. There are times you sense He says a sentence or two in your spirit or poses a question. Are you still enough to listen? Sometimes intercession can wait. Sometimes you just need to listen, just because you have 2 ears and one mouth. Listen more often. Sometimes pictures come to your mind. Those are visions. Whether snapshots or a whole scene playing on its own while you “watch” it unfold in your spirit. Sometimes you just bathe in His peace. Sometimes you may feel like crying as He overwhelms you. Sometimes a smile can’t be wiped off your face because your being experiences complete joy. Sometimes you feel cradled and you just fall asleep in His arms. So, what does intimacy with the Lord feel like? How about you discover it? How about you find out for yourself and then describe it in your own journal. That is what journaling is for, to put your intimate times with the Lord in writing. Or just not write it down at all, just savor the experience and make it daily.

How to learn to journal.

  3. Someone once told me that the word “love” is spelled T-I-M-E. We need to spend time with our loved ones; we need to spent time with the Lord.
